College of Saint Mary Graduate Faculty

All graduate faculty in the Master in Organizational Leadership program (MOL) have earned terminal degrees and worked extensively in the corporate world for many years, bringing valuable experiences to the classroom.

Tammy Moerer, Ph.D.

MOL Director and Faculty member

Dr. Moerer believes that 'life is the journey and not the destination.' That journey is a lifelong educational trek that evolves into an investment in one's personal and professional growth.

When asked about her educational journey, she refers to herself as being an example of a "loyal lifelong student of Nebraska," possessing degrees from across the state university system. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska - Kearney; her master's degree from the University of Nebraska - Omaha; and her doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Her Ph.D. is in Leadership in Higher Education. Additionally, she possesses an APR (National Accreditation in Public Relations) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and management certification from Texas Education Corporation.

Dr. Moerer has worked in the marketing, advertising, and public relations arenas for more than 25 years and has owned and operated a marketing and public relations company, The Image Business, for seven years.  Her experiences in corporate organizations and higher education combine to provide many real-world situations that are incorporated into the classroom setting.

Sue Schlichtemeier-Nutzman, Ph.D.

Faculty and Director of the Business Leadership program

Dr. Schlictemeier-Nutzman is a private training consultant who possesses a Ph.D. in Community/Human Resources and Marketing from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.

In addition to teaching college courses, she specializes in workshops, keynotes, and staff retreats on recruiting and retaining multi-generational teams, marketing and entrepreneurship, cultural diversity, communication, stress, and change. She serves as the program director for CSM's Business Leadership undergraduate program.

Traveling nationally, Dr. Schlichtemeier-Nutzman has presented to nearly two million business people. She has been involved in a national training project on developmental assets, and consults with a wide range of businesses, community groups, professional organizations, schools, and governmental agencies.

Denise A. Hill, J.D.

Faculty

Ms. Hill has been a practicing attorney for more than 25 years - as a litigator, a corporate attorney, and a published author of Business Organizations. She is vice-president, general counsel, and corporate compliance officer for Preferred Professional Insurance Company.

She graduated from Creighton University Law School. As an adjunct faculty member at CSM, she has taught in the paralegal program for more than 18 years.  Her courses, which include business administration, contain ethics components.  She also taught classes for the local chapter of an insurance organization as a review for a certification examination.

As the business environment is changing in the wake of numerous scandals, she believes that businesses can be competitive and aggressive in its market and yet do so ethically and above reproach.

Viv Ewing, Ph.D.

Faculty

Dr. Ewing is the Program and Management Director for the Salvation Army and possesses an extensive career in human resources, change management, and leadership and career development.

She is the founder of Life Development International, a company that teaches individuals and organizations effective methods for developing strategies and obtaining goals for fostering leadership development.  Dedicated to developing others to their fullest potential, she has conducted more than 500 seminars across the United States focusing on professional growth for corporations, education institutions, governmental entities, faith based groups, and non-profits.

As a community leader, Dr. Ewing has served as president of the 1,000-member Human Resource Association of the Midlands (HRAM) and on the board of directors for the YWCA Omaha and the American Red Cross.
