The CSM Flames have been picked to finish third in the MCAC according to the MCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll released February 1. CSM was picked third behind defending champion Bellevue and Peru State. The Flames finished the 2009 season 14-26 overall and 6-6 in the MCAC.
