Putting today's technology in students' hands is a major focus at College of Saint Mary. We offer four dedicated Computer Labs in Walsh Hall for student use. These labs have extended hours throughout the semester so students can work beyond "normal business hours." There are also computer rooms that are open 24-hours a day in the residence halls.
To stay on top of the always changing technology, the Computer Labs are updated with new computers and hardware every other year. CSM also strives to provide students with access to the newest software possible. The Computer Labs provide other services such as Internet resources, printing, and scanning.
The Walsh Hall Computer Labs are located in rooms 236, 218, 217, and 215. Lab 218 is a general use lab and is always open to students, faculty and staff. Labs 215, 217, and 236 are instructional labs and are designed for faculty to use as computer classrooms. If these labs are not reserved for a class they are open to students, faculty, and staff for general use.

Usage Guidelines
At the College of Saint Mary, our mission is to create an environment that is conducive to the needs of the students and their academic endeavors. Our goal is to provide a pleasant atmosphere, adequate lab support, and good customer service. The following policies should be followed by ALL Computer Lab users to ensure a positive experience for all students.
Environment
The computer labs should be a quiet environment where students can work on their academic studies.
1. No loud music or loud audio should be played in the labs without headphones.
2. No children are allowed in the computer labs. There are study rooms and laptops available in the Library where students with children may go to study.
3. Cell phone calls should be taken outside the labs in the hallway.
Equipment
To keep the equipment in the labs in good working condition:
1. No food is allowed in any of the computer labs.
2. Only covered drinks (drinks with lids) are allowed in the computer labs. (Please leave covered drinks on the middle table in the lab and keep them sealed while in the labs.)
3. Absolutely no changes to the computer systems (hardware or software) should be made without permission from the IT Department.
Scheduling
The computer labs can be reserved for campus functions (classes, events, meetings, etc.) through the Information Center. However, Lab 218 will not be reserved and will remain open for general student use. Lab users should observe all lab reservations and use Lab 218 when other labs are reserved.
