Case Studies

Should you apply for financial aid? Yes! You may not qualify for every kind of assistance, but almost every student is eligible for at least one type of aid. To help you understand what makes up a financial aid package, we’ve provided some sample cases below.

The following scenarios are based upon tuition of $25,310 and room & board of $6,800 (if applicable) per year.

Case #1:  
Susan is a Nebraska resident with a 3.5 High School GPA and 22 ACT score. She has two siblings and the Federal government determined her Expected Family Contribution to be $1,346. Susan plans to enroll full time and live on campus.
