CSM choral groups to
perform at Carnegie Hall Nov. 30
The College of Saint Mary Chorus and Musica
Sacra, the community chorus based at the University, have been invited to
perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City as part of a festival chorus on
November 30.
The concert, entitled "Christmastime in the City," is
presented by the Continuo Arts Foundation and will feature the world-premiere of A Carol Fantasy by Stephen James Edwards, under the direction of
conductor Candace Wicke. Both CSM choral groups are led by Marty Wheeler
Burnett, director of fine arts.
The following CSM students are members of the groups performing: Sr.
Rosemary Arrah, Houston, Texas; Aydet
Diaz-Reyes, Omaha, Neb.; Kelsey Snider, Kenesaw, Neb.; Hannah Thompson, Salem,
Neb.; Sr. Catherine Uboh, Houston, Texas; Guiliani Becerra, Omaha, Neb.; Erika
Eaton, Dodge City, Kan.; Antonia Gallo-Rubeck, Des Moines, Iowa; Christen Hall,
Papillion, Neb.; Daryl Jensen, Omaha, Neb.; Windy Munderloh, Omaha, Neb.; Mariela
Munoz, Omaha, Neb.; and Jacqueline Randolph, Omaha, Neb.
This is the second time the choirs have been invited to perform at
the prestigious venue - their first performance at the hall was in 2006.
