Alumnae Spotlight
Faith Meurrens ’93
Faith Meurrens ’93 worked full-time when she enrolled at College of Saint Mary to earn her bachelor’s degree in business administration.
“I attended CSM on weekends as I was working in Seattle two weeks each month,” she said. “I could study during the weeks I lived in a hotel.”
Faith was a systems analyst and later an accounting manager for the divestiture of assets with the breakup of Bell System before becoming a project manager for the 10-year project to merge and upgrade financial systems for the three companies that formed US WEST.
Attending CSM offered her more than just a degree.
“It opened my horizons, made me more active in my community and deepened my faith in God,” she said. “It also gave me confidence in public speaking, in studying problems and determining solutions, and in knowing I was qualified to make decisions based on logical thinking.”
During her free time, Faith volunteered with the churches in the communities where she has lived, including serving as church council president, Clay County Historical Society and the Salvation Army.
Faith’s family includes her brother, Delton Johnson, three nephews and one niece.
