New President Offers Message to CSM Community

New College of Saint Mary President Heather Smith, MBA, began her tenure on July 1. She offered this message to the CSM community:

Assuming the position as the 8th president of the College of Saint Mary is an immense honor and ranks among the most significant milestones of my life. Leading a university dedicated to the careful education of our undergraduate women, developing leaders of tomorrow, and supporting our vibrant Omaha community is an extraordinary privilege that I approach with excitement. I am truly in awe of the extensive possibilities for our future.

As we approach the start of the 2023-24 school year, we stand at a significant juncture, ready to embark on the next century in the rich history of College of Saint Mary. With shared determination, we will strive to elevate the University to new heights, ensuring that it continues to be the epitome of excellence and achievement.

I look forward to connecting with you, listening and learning. Our collective efforts will be dedicated to shaping a future where CSM shines as a beacon of educational distinction. By fostering an environment of academic rigor, innovation, and inclusivity, we will empower our students to fulfill their potential and embrace their dreams.
