Welcome to College of Saint Mary

We are sincerely grateful that you are willing to share your time, knowledge and experience with our students. It's our hope that  you feel welcomed, oriented and mentored in your role as an adjunct instructor. Here is what you need to know before you start.

Step 1:  

background check is required of all employees. CSM must receive a clean background check before an employee is added to the CSM system, receive log-in or access to MyCSM, CSM email and courses, and before a contract is issued. 

Step 2:

All new adjunct hire employment paperwork must be submitted to Academic Affairs and then turned into HR for payroll processing. If you have specific questions about the HR forms or payroll issues please contact HR [at] csm.edu

  • For accreditation purposes, Academic Affairs requires a current CV / Resume and Official Transcripts for highest earned degree (when requesting Official Transcripts please have them emailed to academicaffairs [at] csm.edu or mailed directly to Academic Affairs, 7000 Mercy Road, Omaha NE 68106. 
     
  • Nursing adjuncts are required to provide additional DHHS paperwork that is processed by the Nursing Program Administrative Assistant, Donna Dawson, ddawson [at] csm.edu. The additional needed information can be found on the Nursing Adjunct Employment Information page.
     

Step 3:

You will receive an email in your personal email account with log-in information. Follow the directions and contact IT at PChelp [at] csm.edu if you are not able to log in.

  • Once your account is set up and you are able to log in to your CSM email you should check your CSM email regularly. All correspondence related to your employment with College of Saint Mary should be made through your CSM email. This includes correspondence with CSM faculty, staff and students. All future contracts are sent to your CSM email by Academic Affairs.
     

Step 4:

Please sign and return contracts promptly to academicaffairs [at] csm.edu. Payment cannot be processed until a signed contract is received.

  • As a new employee, your first check will be a paper check and can be picked up at the Student Accounts office in Walsh Hall. Direct deposit will go into effect the following month after account information is verified.
     

Step 5:

Adjunct Orientation -  Dr. Vicky Morgan, Associate Dean for Faculty Development, facilitates adjunct orientations and hosts many opportunities for faculty development. She is also available as a resource to you at any time and can be contacted at vmorgan [at] CSM.edu or 402.399.2675.

Once you are in the CSM system you will have access to MyCSM. Check the Adjunct Corner on MyCSM regularly for updates and important information related to your employment as an adjunct instructor.
