Walk Tall Honors Program
The Walk Tall Honors Program is a community of scholars dedicated to “seeking wisdom and loving mercy.” Walk Tall Scholars engage the issues of their time, expand their worldview, and hone the ability to impact their world through participation in small seminars, analysis of primary texts, involvement in the community, and engagement in the arts. The Program augments the objectives of the core curriculum, empowering women to think critically, act compassionately and be leaders in a diverse world.
In the Honors Program, you will:
- Build supportive relationships with a group of like-minded students who are passionate about their studies and high academic achievers.
- Work closely with faculty in small seminars on special topics, from scientific experiments to original artistic works.
- Encounter unique learning experiences outside the classroom as you attend film showings, art openings, theatrical productions, service opportunities, and more around the Omaha metro area.
- Be recognized at graduation. When you complete the program, you’ll receive an honors medallion to wear at graduation, along with a certificate, and participation will be noted on your official college transcript.
