College of Saint Mary legal studies program earns Top 10 ranking
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary (CSM) is honored to have its legal studies program ranked as one of the best in the nation, according to Study.com.
CSM’s legal studies program was ranked No. 7, based on U.S. Department of Education data, including tuition and retention rates, but also American Bar Association approval, continuous curriculum evaluation by educational and legal experts, broad practice areas and flexible learning options.
“This is an incredible honor,” said Susanne Miller, J.D, director of the legal studies program. “It is a great recognition for a program that has served as a starting point for students seeking a law degree.”
CSM is the only college in the region to offer a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies program approved by the American Bar Association (ABA) and taught entirely by lawyers. It also is one of only 270 ABA-approved associate degree paralegal programs in the U.S. The program also serves as a pathway to law school and features a unique partnership with Creighton University School of Law that combines the fourth year of undergraduate work with the first year of law school.
