College of Saint Mary Plans Welcome Days for Aug. 17-25

OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary will welcome new and returning students to campus Aug. 17-25 for several days of fun activities and informational sessions designed to help them succeed academically and socially throughout their college experience.

“Welcome Days at College of Saint Mary are an incredibly exciting time for new and incoming students,” said Marisa Mathews, director of student leadership and inclusive programming. “It’s a chance to dive into the vibrant community, make lasting connections, and truly feel the energy and support that makes our campus so special.”

Welcome Days will feature new student orientation, karaoke, glow-in-the-dark rave, casino night, dive-in movie at the Lied Fitness Center pool, music and grocery bingo, and a fall involvement fair. A fall fest picnic for students, faculty, staff, and their families will return for a fourth year on the campus green space and include a performance by Omaha Street Percussion, Kona Ice, a strolling magician, balloon artist, face painting, Skee ball, ping pong and other carnival type activities and food.

A fall pep rally will kick off the new academic year at 4 p.m. Aug. 22 in the LFC gym. The event will include minute-to-win-it games, free T-shirts and a photo booth
