CSM fine arts department presents student art show, concert
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary’s fine arts department will showcase students’ musical and creative talents next month.
The student art show will open on April 28 and run through May 12 in Hillmer Art Gallery. A reception will be 5-7 p.m. on May 5. Around 25 students, including those in beginning, intermediate and advanced classes, will display their artwork.
On May 1, the CSM choir will perform its final concert of the season at 3 p.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. The theme of the concert will be “Conflict and Resolution.”
“We are performing music that highlights the oneness of humanity but also points out diversity and the issues that arise when humans are unable to live in pieces with each other,” said Dr. Christopher Krampe, director of humanities and fine arts.
Music styles will range from pop to classical, including several well-known songs.
