Fifty-one students to graduate from College of Saint Mary on Dec. 14
OMAHA, NEB. – College of Saint Mary will graduate 51 students during Winter Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 14th. They include one associate’s degree, 27 bachelor’s degrees, and 23 master’s degrees.
Baccalaureate Mass will begin at 5 p.m. in Our Lady of Mercy Chapel. A graduate reception will follow at 6 p.m. in the dining hall. Final Commencement will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Lied Fitness Center. Patty Bauer, Vice President of Methodist Women’s Hospital, will deliver the commencement address.
Bauer began her career at Methodist Hospital as a respiratory therapist in 1989. In 1995, she was promoted to Service Leader of Respiratory Care Services and went on to lead cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and the cardiac/telemetry unit before being named as the Service Executive for the Oncology Service Line. Bauer currently serves as Vice President for Methodist Women’s Hospital.
Bauer earned her associate degree in respiratory therapy from College of Saint Mary and received her Bachelor of Science in Health Arts from the University of Saint Francis in Joliet, Illinois. She returned to Omaha and the College of Saint Mary for her associate degree in nursing. She has a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Saint Francis.
Bauer is a board member and mission chair for Susan G. Komen Great Plains. She and her husband live in Elkhorn and enjoy travel and spending time with family and friends.
