It teaches students oral and research skills as well as how to communicate, write and problem solve.
B.A. in Applied Psychology & Human Services
Our applied psychology & human services major trains you in the human services field while focusing on current social problems, cultural issues, counseling and basic research skills. Coursework provides a strong background in many areas of psychology and prepares you for professional positions where you work directly with clients. You’ll learn to use your empathy and understanding to help others.

As psychological and social problems increase in our society and around the globe, there is a significant and growing demand for professionals to help address complex problems like these. A few common jobs for those with a psychology degree include case managers, psychiatric technicians, career counselors, and rehabilitation specialists. Graduates can also find work in other areas including marketing, teaching, and childcare.
