OMAHA, Neb. - College of Saint Mary (CSM) Athletic Director Jim Krueger is pleased to announce that Carolyn Bray has been hired as the new head softball coach and sports information director.

Bray comes to CSM from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota (SMU) in Winona, MN, an NCAA Division III Institution. In addition, Bray has more than 15 years of experience as a sports writer, reporter and paginator at the Red Wing Republican Eagle newspaper in Red Wing, MN.

"We are thrilled to have Coach Bray direct our softball program at CSM," said Krueger. "Her nine years of college coaching and recruiting experience will be a great benefit to the Flames program and institution."

Bray commented, "I am excited to be joining the College of Saint Mary family. This position allows me to pursue two of my passions — coaching collegiate fast-pitch softball and sports journalism. I'm grateful to the CSM athletic department for giving me this opportunity. I have been very impressed with the student-athletes, staff and administration at CSM, and I strongly believe in the mission of CSM.”
